Anthony Louis Drago was born May 13, 1940 in Easton, Pennsylvania to Louis and
Fannie (Frinzi) Drago. Anthony knew from an early age what he wanted to do with his life and he pursued his dreams with passion and commitment, graduating from Penn State University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and serving 20 years as an officer in the United States Air Force. He retired at Eglin AFB as a Lieutenant Colonel where he continued on in civil service for another 20 years. His loyalty to his family was of utmost importance and he stood strong in his ethical convictions throughout his life. He was generous, honest and loving with a wonderful sense of humor. As a father, he enjoyed the beach with his family, often the only people at The Officer's Club beach at 7am spending all day ‘till the sun set. (he was used to early hours). He provided for his family with hard work and dedication and was so proud to serve in The United States Air Force. He enjoyed astronomy when his children were young and he had great pride in his home and yard, having spent hours landscaping with his wife, Phyllis. He loved crossword puzzles and enjoyed his time in the far-east where he traveled in the early part of his career and was stationed at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Chanute AFB, Nellis AFB and Andrews AFB before settling at Eglin. He served in Vietnam and was exposed to Agent Orange. Anthony L. Drago fought a courageous battle with cancer and was a true hero in every sense of the word…a hero to his family, who meant everything to him. He transitioned into peace on January 2nd, 2017 at 9:38 a.m. and his beautiful soul will no doubt carry on as he continues his journey living on in those he touched.

A devoted family man and husband he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis G. Drago; his daughters Jeanette Drago and Antoinette (Toni) Drago; his grandson, Rocco Alviti; and his sister Elaine Drago. He will be deeply missed.
